What you say creates what you believe and what you believe impacts how you behave, the choices you make, and the way your life will be. Learn how to create the life you want by focusing on what you say and how you say it!
Notice what you say on a daily basis that is causing your life to be more of a struggle. Do you refer to situations and experiences as hard, tiring, frustrating, and annoying? Some popular phrases are: "It is so hard." "I am so tired of that happening." "I am so frustrated." "That is so annoying." STOP using your most popular and favored words and phrases that are limiting you. As you put that language in to your daily reality, guess what? You just keep getting more of what you DON'T WANT! These words and phrases create barricades you impose on your life by the way you talk about things. This week, focus on replacing negative limiting words and phrases with affirmative words and phrases, to help switch the flow of your life. Write statements like the following on cards and refer to them often, stick them to your work area, and mark them on your bathroom mirror using a dry erase marker to get you going for the day: "It is coming to me easily." "I am so excited for all the good that flows my way." "That is great." "I guess they are doing the best they know how." "I accept my life for what it is and am committed to putting forth the effort to change it." "I am believing that the best is possible." "I am seeing the good in all things." "I am seeing more of the good in myself." The power of intentional language can change your life, so use it! You will be grateful you did. Every day is an opportunity to make changes in your life. Remember with No Change--No Change Will Occur! Emotions play a crucial role in your health overall! Taking an antidepressant drug is, at best, a dangerous proposition. One of the best and safest options for treating depression without a drug is increasing your intake of omega-3 fats. The results of recent research encourages all mental health professionals to ensure that their patients suffering from depression have an adequate intake of omega-3 fats. Currently, the average daily intake by Americans of (EPA) and (DHA) is about 130 mg, only a fifth of the minimum requirement recommended by international experts. The report also argues that mental health specialists do not have to be experts in clinical nutrition to be aware of the real connection between nutritional habits and emotional health. If this subject interests you, I highly recommend Dr. Stoll's book The Omega-3 Connection. He is a Harvard psychiatrist who has done a great job of compiling the evidence supporting the use of omega-3s for treating depression. Other factors that contribute to depression are the lack of exercise and the consumption of high glycemic carbohydrate foods such as bread, baked goods, starch, sugar and boxed cereals. Negative emotions can slow down your body's natural ability to heal itself. There is a connection between emotional and physical health. For example, how a positive mental attitude can play a vital role in maintaining a healthy heart and delaying the aging process naturally. Stress, such as the kind you experience when you're feeling hostile, is a key factor in any illness and it plays a major role in health and the aging process. Stress causes free-radicals that destroy cells. To completely eliminate stress from your life is virtually impossible. Yet, if you don't learn how to deal with stress in a healthy way, a recent study shows how your brain may actually "rewire itself," altering its connections in such a way so it affects the way the brain functions. Cravings and addictions are generated in this manner. Diet and lifestyle are important factors that must be considered in making helpful changes. Probiotics are health-enhancing bacteria that replenish the microflora in your intestinal track, helping your body to digest and absorb food, as well as fight off many different illnesses and disease. While it's received little recognition by Western medical professionals, the health benefits of probiotics have been known for at least 100 years. Studies have shown that probiotics are effective for the control of: * Inflammatory bowel disease * Vaginal yeast infections * Food and skin allergies in children * Premature labor in pregnant women * Recurrent ear and bladder infections * Chronic diarrhea ... and more! Only consider high quality probiotic products for best results such as Drhealth Suprema-Dophilus and PB-8. Is Coconut Healthy For You? You may wonder how a food that contains almost 70% fat can be healthy for you. Part of the confusion about coconut relates to its content of saturated fat. It is important to make this distinction: trans (bad) fat from fried foods is actually the problem -- not saturated (good) fat. As a saturated fat made up primarily of fatty acids known as medium chain triglycerides (MCTs), coconut fat is smaller than the standard storage unit and is burned for energy rather than stored as body fat. Approximately 50% of the fatty acids in coconut fat are lauric acid. Lauric acid has been recognized for its unique properties in food use, which are related to its antiviral, antibacterial, and antiprotozoal functions. Lauric acid has the added beneficial function of being formed into monolaurin in the body. Monolaurin is a supplement used to destroy lipid-coated viruses such as HIV, herpes, influenza, and various pathogenic bacteria. Huperzine A has been shown to increase cognitive function in all ages. Primary research has focused on maintaining mental acuity for the elderly, but positive effects for all ages have been found in both short brain boost functions or longer-term supplementation to support healthy mental functions. Huperzine A is a plant alkaloid derived from the Chinese club moss plant. It has been found to protect neurotransmitters in the brain. Specifically, it protects acetylcholine, a messenger molecule in the central and peripheral nervous system that is strongly involved in vital functions such as cognition, concentration, and memory. Syndrome X symptoms include fatigue, poor mental concentration, abdominal (apple-shaped) obesity, edema (fluid retention), nerve damage, an intense craving for sweets, starches and bread. Drhealth Glucose Support can assist controlling blood sugar, plus reduce cravings. Thought For The Day: If the body is sick, the mind worries and the spirit grieves; if the mind is sick, the body and spirit will suffer from its confusion; if the spirit is sick, there will be no will to care for the body or mind!
