Malnutrition Is The Basis Of All Disease!
Starvation is not a third world problem. It's an American tragedy. The people in Africa don't have
enough volume of food. We Americans have plenty of "food," but it's empty food. The food we eat produces
plenty of calories and energy but is almost completely devoid of kind of "nutrition" which is vital to
our survival.
Nutritional deficiency has long-term terminal effects and it is well hidden. If food tastes good, conceals hunger, and produces calories and energy, we feel okay for a time. But nutrition is missing and even with full bellies, we begin to starve. There is no greater illusion and deception than empty foods; that is, foods without nutrition. No standing army is as dangerous to the American people as the giant commercial food industry that makes and sells billions of dollars worth of foodless foods. This is a conspiracy that no one suspects. And when the food processors "add-back vitamins," they are synthetics, not whole food complexes as are found in nature. Where is our proof of this change? Well, the proof is that nutrition is used for therapy. Nearly every human health problem has a nutritional remedy. For example, it is universally known that vitamin A is eye food and without it there is night blindness. Vitamin A is also anticancer. Anemia is due to an iron deficiency along with B vitamin deficiency. Heart problems can be prevented and relieved by adequate vitamin E, CoQ 10, and vitamin B complex. So if nutrition heals, then malnutrition kills. Doctors now recommend folic acid for pregnant mothers to avert spinal bifida. Folic acid is essential nutrition to unborn babies as well as you and me. Folic acid along with B12 prevents or cures pernicious anemia, a serious malady that can kill you. There is a definite relationship between heart disease and increased blood levels of the amino acid homocysteine. An impressive list of diseases has been linked to abnormal elevations of homocysteines. High homocysteine levels correlate with significantly increased risk of coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, peripheral occlusive disease, cerebral occlusive disease, retinal vascular occlusion, heart attack, cognitive decline, depression, diabetic nephropathy, intermittent claudication (leg pain), renal failure, rheumatoid arthritis, and stroke. For over 30 years researchers have known about homocysteine, but the pharmaceutical industry made billions of dollars over the past years off drugs for controlling cholesterol. There was no money in treating homocysteine. The simple solution to reduce the threat of homocysteine is to take three B vitamins: folic acid, B6 and B12. This is another good reason to take a good multiple vitamin/mineral containing B complex with at least 25 to 65 mg B's. ALPHA LIPOIC ACID Alpha Lipoic Acid is one of the rare nutrients capable of crossing the "blood-brain barrier," making it very protective in the brain. Hundreds of studies worldwide for its ability to enhance brain function and to protect against many of the most destructive diseases - such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes. * Normalizes blood sugar levels and treats nerve damage in people with diabetes. * Treats liver poisoning and hepatitis C. * Slows cataract formation and macular degeneration. * Guards the heart and reduces free radicals after a heart attack. * Boosts the levels of all the other critically important antioxidants. Preventive Vision Health - There is no single "bullet" for vision health. Vitamin C (2,000 to 3,000 mg), vitamin E (400 to 800 mg), vitamin A (5,000 to 10,000 IU), beta-carotene (up to 50,000 IU), Bilberry (60 to 160 mg), Taurine (500 mg), lutein, quercetin, and most important Ginkgo biloba (60 to 160 mg). Most of these will be covered in more detail in future newsletters. However, Ginkgo also improves memory, relieves tinnitus, increases circulation in the smallest of your blood vessels. It goes on and on and still medical orthodoxy plays down the connection of nutrition and health. You can't depend on orthodox medicine if you want to live a long and health life. You must take matters into your own hands by doing your homework. It is your right! It is also your responsibility! Thought For The Day: A visitor was going through a prison, one day. He passed by a prisoner sitting on a bench using a needle sewing a patch on his prison uniform. By way of conversation the visitor asked the prisoner: "Are you sewing?" "No, replied the prisoner, I'm REAPING!" How true that is in everything in life. What we sow, that is what we will reap. Every good has its reward, every evil its penalty. Some people refer to this Universal Law as KARMA. This is probably one of the hardest and most difficult lessons we must understand to make this place we call Earth a better World for us all! |
