What prevents our Medical Care System from improving? It's because
medical care is a for-profit business monopoly and the mission of all
business is to make all the money it can. Therefore, the worse our
health, the more profitable it becomes. There are no incentives to
eliminate high profit problems. That's why the World Health
Organization rates the U.S. at #37th best health care and #1, for the
highest cost.
Why are we the only country to allow all the TV drug ads to be run? As one researcher said, if there were enough money to be made on it they could design ads to prove daylight doesn't exist. Most countries do not allow TV drug ads. Why hasn't medical science cured one major high profit health problem since polio? No money incentive to achieve success, but a great deal of money spent for research which is directed at heart disease, cancer, arthritis, diabetes, etc. The only break throughs have been the development of expensive equipment and new drugs to treat symptoms. Why are doctors taught to treat symptoms and not causes? The procedures and books for their classes are provided by the pharmaceutical companies. The money to be made is in the treatment of symptoms. There is no monetary motivation to teach any methods to prevent the causes of illness. Why are we the first generation whose children have shorter lives than their parents? Fast food diet, obesity and lack of exercise. Parents either don't know any better, don't care, are obese themselves or all of the above. Why are all problems related to human misery in any way cannot be solved by a society that measures excellence in terms of money and power? Try to think of one business whose income depends upon human misery for its income that has cured any major problem that is a high income source, including the government. Therefore, the more money we spend on health care or any human misery problem, the worse these problems become. Isn't it obvious? I promise not to be so negative next month. A Medical Doctor Speaks Up About Alternative Modalities! Without realizing it, Dr. William B. Ferril, MD, became a believer in the corrupted mainstream view of the medical universe. According to him, he believed in a system of health care where side effects and toxicity's were treated with more medications and procedures. He regretfully remembered discouraging patients from continuing or seeking alternative treatment modalities. Stubborn patients continually pointed out to him the inconsistencies of his educational training. A major breakthrough occurred for Dr. William B. Ferril, MD, when he married his current wife, who happened to be chiropractor. As he witnessed changes in her patients with the use of herbs, colon health, and nutritional supplements he began the study of a more holistic perspective for his patients. The results of his investigation and research has generated two books, The Body Heals and Why Is My Doctor So Dumb? According to Dr. Ferril, around middle age there are interrelated principles of health that tend to falter. Unless all are attended to the chronic degenerative diseases of middle age begin to insidiously propagate their deterioration on the body. Diet, lifestyle, physical and emotional toxins all contribute to imbalance resulting in unhealthy conditions. Common examples of these unhealthy conditions are: obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, arthritis, hormone imbalance, and diabetes. Each of these common diseases can be healed without side effects when the conditions that caused the imbalance are changed. The achievement of balance requires the afflicted owner's participation. When this first requirement continues to be ignored symptom control medicine remains the only treatment possibility. However, in owners who are willing to take an active in their disease solution there are many cases where the above diseases heal or at least stabilize. Mainstream medicine almost completely ignores the quality of the life energy integrity. Life energies are removed from the body at the time of death. These important energies form a common denominator between many alternative-healing modalities. Chiropractic, homeopathy, acupuncture, massage, yoga, meditative prayer, and chakra energy work all, each in their own way, reinvigorates the life energy field. Neglecting to consider these energies describes one consequence of living with a profit driven health care system. Profit considerations influence which universities receive the pharmaceutical companies' research funds. This financial reality in turn influences the way medical schools educate physicians to think about disease. Physicians have very little reason to doubt their education's until their patients begin providing living inconsistencies about how the body heals. Drugs are not the only solution for most visits to the doctors office. How Health Care Costs Can Be Reduced! A recent published study shows that over the next five years, appropriate use of select dietary supplements would improve the health of key populations and save the nation more than $24 billion in health care costs. The study, commissioned by the Dietary Supplement education Alliance (DSEA), updated research conducted by The Lewin Group in 2004 and 2005 that included a systematic literature review of the most rigorous scientific research available. "Rapidly escalating health care costs in the U.S. have severe implications for our society as a whole," noted DSEA. This study provides valuable data that may lead to preventative health care solutions and address the budgetary problems facing federal and state health insurance programs, corporate health cost managers and individual families. The New York Times claims that patient advocacy groups and doctors who specialize in fibromyalgia believe that the Lyrica approval is a milestone, and hope its approval will legitimize fibromyalgia in the same manner that Prozac legitimized depression. But, says the Times, other doctors believe that the disease does not exist, and that Lyrica will be taken by millions of people who do not need it. Lyrica itself is a drug originally designed for diabetic nerve pain that was rejected because of its unimpressive results and many side effects, including weight gain, edema, dizziness and sleepiness. Would you want the side effects? Thought For The Day: As 2008 moves into it's second month, we should consider what 2008 has in store for each of us. When one door closes, another opens to each of us. Reduce your attention to the negative aspects of life like blame, anger, resentment, frustration, and all other negative beliefs and emotions. Teach yourself to appreciate everything. Express gratitude for every single moment of your life. It is important to feed the energy of gratitude within you. If you are feeling stuck use more statements of gratitude to get your positive emotions moving again. Put yourself on a gratitude diet and get more exercise. Watch your world start to shift your life. The more you create feelings of appreciation and gratitude, the more you will attract into your life that which you can appreciate and for which you can feel gratitude for.
